Skype For Business Mac You're Not Configured To Connect To The Server Free
Feb 16, 2018 If Skype Meetings App and Skype for Business for Mac are enabled, users will download the latest version of the apps from the Microsoft 365 or Office 365 Content Delivery Network (CDN) rather than from your Skype for Business server. For Skype for Business Server 2019, using Skype Meetings App and Skype for Business for Mac is the only option. If you had a previous version of Skype for Business Server, or a current Skype for Business installation that's not configured for hybrid, then existing user attributes carried over from your on-premises Active Directory can conflict with the online values and cause sign-in issues. It allows the phone to read the in-band logging level configuration defined in a Lync Server or Skype for Business Server on-premises deployment controlled by the Set-CsUCPhoneConfiguration cmdlet. The cmdlet LoggingLevel parameter can be set to Off, Low, Medium, or High values. In the Skype for Business window click on Options icon to access the menu, or click on the drop-down arrow next to it and navigate to Tools Options, then in the Skype for Business Options window navigate to General tab and under Logging in Skype for Business select Full. You might want to invest in a newer webcam. Most external webcams work with Skype for Business, but the best experience is guaranteed by using a Skype for Business Certified webcam listed in the catalog. If you’re already using an external camera and you’re having problems with video, try plugging it into a different USB port.
autodetect was't working when i was connected on-prem... interestingly, it worked fine when i was external so i knew i had a shot... i've seen this issue mentioned in numerous other support forums
typical error message: You're not configured to connect to the server.
steps that worked for me:
Skype For Business Mac You're Not Configured To Connect To The Server Email
- pull working Windows configs by CTRL+RightMouse on Skype tray icon > Configuration Information
- based on educated guess i took the 'DG URL Internal/External' https: urls and plugged them into skype's [advanced options] page
- also on windows, i also exported the certificate from the browser for the above server and imported it into mac's keychain
- i exported the .p7b format INCLUDING the parent certificate chain
- i imported as 'system' level
- and made sure to TRUST it after it was imported (in mac KeyChain Access app, search by server name, right mouse on the entry > get info > trust)
